Intake Air Temp Sensor Coded

Hey guys, 2001 Navi 32V 5.4L 4x4.

I just did a major tuneup up my Navi. New coils, plugs, pcv & lines, fuel filter, throttle position sensor, AND the intake air temp sensor. Start it up and within seconds it throws an engine code stating that the air temp sensor has low voltage reading or no/bad ground. I've made sure it is plugged in good, but the code keeps coming up. Ideas?

Thanks.

Defective or wrong sensor would be the first thing that comes to mind. Put the old one back in unless you actually had a valid reason for replacing it.

It was the new sensor. I put the old one back in and it worked fine. I did end up buying another one directly from the dealer, and that one has worked fine with no codes. Just goes to show that internet sales aren't always the best for parts.

It also reinforces the lesson I've learned over the years that, just because a part or item is new does not mean that it's actually good. I went on too many service calls ro remember with a new part only to find that it didn't fix the problem because the new replacement was also defective.
