1999 compared to the 2010+ Diesel motors and drive trane ?

I have a much loved 1999 F250 SD.

Looking at building a newer project and was wondering how the 2010 and newer motors and drive-train are ? What to stay away from ?

Will I be as happy with the newer systems ?

How is the coil front end ?

Thanks,Randy

Coil front end rides much better than the leaf spung trucks.

As you can imagine, some engine problems were cured, others have arisen. Overall though, the engines became more powerful and fuel efficient the newer you get. You will like the newer truck.

Many will say to avoid the 6.0L, I've had a love/hate relationship with it, but overall it's much better in nearly every aspect when compared to my previous 7.3L and 6.8L v10.
