bench seat swap

Does anyone know if the bench seats of a Windstar have the same mounting hardware as the ones in a E350XLT? I need the first row bench replaced in my E350 and i found a free Windstar one on CL . Any help is appreciated

No, the Windstar seats would not be a simple bolt in to factory holes. You would have to drill and bolt on your own. I would wait for seats out of an Econoline passenger van that some one is converting to work van. Sometimes conversion companies sell seats cheap on e-bay.

Would these fit up front in a van?
They are from a F-250

You could probably make them work, but if you put them up front, how are you going to open the doghouse cover?

I think OP wants to replace the first row of seats---those behind the front seats for passenger and driver?

If that's the case, then it may be a little too wide because of the step well for the side door(s). The base brackets will also require modification since it originally mounted to the angled sections of the truck cab floor. It is a nice looking seat though.

I used the bench from an Aerostar as I wanted fold forward seats. Swapped the legs. The rear bolts were a direct bolt on. For the front I had to build a plate since the Aero base was a little bit wider.

This day I have the middle row from a 2012 Tahoe. This requiere a bit moré fabricación.

I was looking at that. It looks tight but doable.

It would be cool up front if it worked. Since they adjust separately, I think you maybe could mount the passenger side far enough back in the retracted position to remove the cover. The passenger side could use more leg room anyway. Then position the driver's seat so it lines up with pass side in middle of adjustment range. It would be nice if the pass side was removable for engine work too.

Day dreaming about this E150: https://quincy.craigslist.org/cto/5615557847.html.

How big of a job would it be to swap a full bench into the 3rd row?

can I get help too? E 150 wagon

my 1st bench seat is too close to the driver/passenger seat, and it's 6" longer than the 2nd bench seat, that my dog has a hard time squeezing in, I want to take out the longer seat and replace with the smaller seat, also move it back about 6", looks like I'd have to move the brackets too, how do I do that? or should I have a body shop do that? thanks jack
