What decals were originally on a 1952 V8 Oil Bath Air Cleaner.
Anyone got any pics?

FortyNiner, our old Air Breather have a very worn out decal on it.
I swear it looked like the remnants of a ThunderBird Emblem. Inside of the bird emblem was the inscription ????S??R Under the Wings it appeared to have V8.
I should have taken a Picture of it before I stripped it for repaint. I just took for granted It would be available. To my surprise I cannot find a decal anywhere on the web.
From my research on the web it appears the StatoStar V8 was 52/53 yrs.
I have found one picture on the web of a flathead V8 that appears to have this emblem. That is the attachment above.
Dennis Carpenter and Macs both have decals for the oil filter that say Stratostar V8. They also have the rectangle decal for the air cleaner with servicing instructions.

 

So far this is the only one close that I have found, but Im sure you already saw it. Jimmy, yea I saw those I am going to order the one for the oil filter and the one for the side of the oil bath air cleaner that has the service instructions. I would like to have the decal for the front, but I am thinking since it was only 1952 and 53 that there is not enough demand for them to fool with them.
