For the past 11 months, this truck has been my baby and my project. I purchased it from an older man who happened to be the original owner. He drove it off the lot back in 2000. Again, try finding a 7.3 with 1 main owner that put hardly any miles on it. Once I bought it, I had planned on changing just about every accessible part without doing a full rebuild. The idea behind this was that it would be my forever truck until it died 250-300k miles later. Well, I am looking to buy a house so this will be my down payment (More about price later). The exterior of the truck is a 7/10 and the interior is easily a 9/10. Zero rips or tears or big stains on the interior.
If I were to list every upgrade I've done to this truck, this ad would be a mile long. I have a word document where I have kept track of every bit of work done by myself (it was done by me and done right). If you want the full list, let me know. But here is a list of the major work I've done.
-New Garrett GTP38r turbo. These can handle upwards of 35psi. I put this on with the plan of adding injectors later.
-95% tread left on nice Hankook A/T tires.
-Saxco billet half, multi disk torque converter (the stock converters suck so I replaced this before the stock one failed.)
-All new calipers, rotors, pads, and brake lines. I did not go cheap on this. Again, I did not go cheap! I put the best brakes on that I could find. Parts alone cost me $1500.
-Autometer gauges (boost, trans temp, pyro)
-Complete coolant flush.
-Complete oil change with fully synthetic Amsoil 15-40. This is not cheap stuff. It costs $200 for oil alone.
-New fuel pump and fuel return.
-New fuel bowl cover
-New serpentine belt and belt tensioner
-New IH up pipes
This list could go on and on. Want it all? Let me know and I'll send you the word document. In addition to all the work, I have every single receipt of work done or parts used. You'll see that I don't waste money on junk. Anything that went on this truck was worth putting on.
There are three small issues this truck has that eventually need to be fixed. And honestly, two of them are not a big deal.
1. The driver's side top ball joint should be replaced in the next 500-1000 miles. It's easy to do if you have the tools.
2. There is a tiny, and I mean tiny oil leak coming from the oil pan. It will drip once when you shut her down and no more after that. It is not a high pressure oil leak.
3. The paint on the roof has some sun damage. It has not affected the paint color but it has affected the paint quality. With the way our weather is, this could go for 2-3 years before it would need to be addressed.
I am a direct honest person. Those are the ONLY issues with this truck.
I am asking $15000. I am slightly flexible but do not low ball me at $13k. I already had a cash offer for $13k and I turned it down. I'll need more than that to convince me to sell.
You can contact me at 707-583-3345. I can also email pictures. Thanks,
Josh
