Just started to install my S&D intake today and noticed when the original owner has installed the K&N he had removed the air scoop. 3 Questions:

1. Does the S&D really benefit from the scoop
2. If if does, does it hurt anything to drive it while I"m sourcing one
3. Where is the best place to buy a replacement scoop

Can you put up pics of how that intake utilizes the stock scoop? I have not seen that before.
