Rancho RS9000XL

I found set of Rancho RS9000XL on Rock Auto. I believe they are $90 each with a $100 mail in rebate.

To the guys with these 9000 shocks, do you like them and are they worth the money?

EDIT: Once the link kicks in scroll down to the bottom of the highlighted portion to the rancho 9000.

I like mine and have had them on for about 20,000 miles. Just changed my front springs today and have already been changing the settings to get it dialed in to where I like it.

I put them on the rear of my truck specifically to be able to adjust for unloaded vs. towing. So far, they seem pretty good. For the front however, I'll get Bilstein 5100's

That sounds like a heck of a deal.

I have them all the way around. They have made a tremendous difference in the way the truck handles both loaded and unloaded including towing. They have been on the truck now for about 15k miles. I won't go back to non-adjustable shocks.

My only complaint is that I wish the numbers on the adjustment **** were are bit larger.

If you get them, hit them with a couple of coats of clear coat or your favorite color of paint. They have made it through this winter without rusting but I bet they will be rusty by this time next year.

ExPACamper has them as well....

I have them. They seem to be okay. Don't adjust them often. I did like how large around they were though.

Thanks for all the input

With the $100 mail in rebate I don't think I can go wrong with these. I will go ahead and give them a call on Monday and get the total, post it here and probably will buy them.

x2 on the clear coat to prevent rust. The Rancho rep recommended it, and almost two years later and mine still look new.

Adjusting the shocks to your own taste/conditions is hard to beat.

Scotty, this is the set I was planning to get for $300 shipped to my door. Although, if the Rancho is comparable for a much cheaper price, then I might jump on board and get some too.

I look forward to hearing from you on a total price.

EDIT: I found another online retailer that has the same Bilstein setup for $265 shipped. Just wanted to update the thread as the words from ExPACamper may sway someone away from the Rancho deal to avoid potential headaches.

I installed these a few months ago. Like the shocks, but STILL haven't received the rebate

Here's my thread with lots of info, pics, etc.

Seems like a good product, but PIA to deal with the vendor(s) and rebate company. It's all there in the thread, enjoy

ExPACamper, I read your whole thread and sounds like they were a pain but worth it in the end. I did PM Rancho that had posted in your thread and will take it from there. If this turns into a hassle I might go ahead and order the Bilsteins that Sous mentioned.

So, no love from Rock Auto. They have set for the front and nothing for the rear. My truck does have a 6" lift so it makes it a little more of a pain.

I did PM Rancho who are a supporter for the site and will go from there.

I got those same Bilstein shocks at a great internet price too. Rode great at first but they were flopping like overcooked linguine within 10k miles. Kinda suspect they were knock offs, but they looked real enough. That's when I switched to the Ranchos.

Rancho has the same $100 deal every year.

Little bit more expensive at $130.00 each but with 20% off. Looking at these fox shocks and pretty good reviews. I'm leaning more towards these.

Good luck. I hope you have better results with them than I did.

It's really a shame that Rancho is depending on unreliable vendors to handle their product and their rebates.

Looks like Me and the Attorney General are going to have to have a little chat

It's not going to be pretty. I'll try one last time to reach out to Rancho, then the gloves are coming off

Edit: Sorry, not trying to sour your thread, but I don't want you the have the same experience I am having.
