I want bigger tires
My kids have told me truck needs bigger tires. I have 17 rims with a 255/75-17. Looking at the truck it could use larger tire. I don't want to go to extremes but a wider and taller tire would make it look better.
So My tire is 31 inches tall, with a width of 10 inch's.
Truck is not lifted. I do tow 10-12 k pound trailers. If I can keep my rims all the better.
So what can I get away with.
Thanks for your input.

Are you sure it is 31 and not 32 inches tall? You could have 245/75/17 and those are shorter at 31.5" and I could understand the want to go larger? I don't see a 255/75/17 as an option, but then again you didn't put ALL of your trucks information in your signature.
Like 250/350 4WD or 2WD?

OEM there is a 275/65/18 that is 32.1" fr an XLT and my stock tires on the truck in my signature are on 20" rims and 32.5" tall. So assuming you are a 4WD F350 SRW, you could go up to at least 32.5".
Of course I would have a local tire shop do it and make sure you don't rub.
