To stack or not to stack, that is the question

So I have a childhood obsession with stacks. Big rigs specifically. My childhood obsession is making me think more about putting two in my truck. What are your thoughts?

All I know is that if you don't make it look good, a pic of your truck will eventually show up in a "ridiculous stacks" thread in one of the diesel forums.

In the case of our trucks, "ridiculous stacks" is redundant. A single stack would be appropriate if executed tastefully, but two stacks on what is by definition a single-exhaust powertrain looks... er... compensating. Just like dual exhaust on an in-line engine.

To each his own, but I've never been a fan of stacks on a pickup except on the older stepside beds.
I do have a 3500 Dodge/Cummins with a tool bed and dual 4" stacks that doesn't look too bad.

Personally, I think stacks are absolutely ridiculous. Sometimes they serve a purpose, but in a light duty pickup, they don't. They also render the first foot of your bed useless. Unless your truck is on 100% tow duty, anybody who actually works with their truck won't put stacks on it.

If done right they can look good and sound even better. No offense to anyone but it doesn't make a flying chit what we think, feel or say. All that matter is if you like them and if so stack it.

It's when you stack the stacks on your cummins. Don't forget your tow mirrors.

This is one thing that's getting bad about Fte. A lot of people on here want to put down something or make fun of someone for doing something to there truck cosmetically. Hate to break it to some of you guys but what you think make be ugly, ridiculous or stupid just might be what someone else likes. Quite distasteful.

The op can do whatever he wants. I didn't hear anyone being disrespectful. Just sharing opinions. If we can't do that then we may as well stop typing.
