March B.S. Thread

Well, they've changed the forecast from "no significant accumulation" to "Total daytime accumulation of less than one inch" AFTER we already have an inch on the ground.

Weather casters are like baseball players with their batting average. As long as they're successful 30% of the time they're doing a great job.

It's okay though, I like snow.

Hey Ken! I wonder how much snow we would have got had it been a couple degrees colder yesterday. I guess you're getting ready for the busy season. Work's been a little slow for me. Unusual for this time of year. I dread what's going to happen this summer. If this is any indication, I'll have plenty of free time, and no money.

We ended up with around 3" of no significant accumulation. By 11:00 last night it had melted to less than 2", and now it's almost gone.

Yeah, it's almost crunch time. We're into some serious spring cleaning.

Are there fewer trucks running, or just fewer axle problems?

A combination of things. New truck sales did go up. Trucking is down right now.

Wes has added some Bling to his ride! Well, very functional bling that is. New rubber is always a good thing to have. Those rims go quite well with your truck!

Wes, are you still looking for a small but not too small boat?

I was just double checking. We may be giving one away soon. It has a good trailer, and the hull isn't too bad. The problem is the engine has an electrical problem I couldn't get a handle on a few years ago when we were using it. It's obvious the electric choke is burned up. We could deal with that with a little starting fluid, but then it quit charging. I think the rectifier has burned up as well.

Well, I don't know anything really about boats other than they float, or are suppose to, and they are great to fish from. So, yes, I am interested in it.

I've been around boats all my life, and I still don't get the electrical system. It's like a cross between a lawnmower, a chainsaw, and a small car.

I'm sure you can find the service manuals online somewhere. I just don't have the time to spend on boats we're not going to use.
