High pressure fuel system for F100

I'm putting a 4.6l cv engine into my 77. What do you guys use for a fuel tank when you put in a modern injected engine?

I used tanks from a '96 truck to fit my '78 when I used a DIY EFI setup on the 4.9L.

Also got familiar with the nylon lines as well and real cosy with the wiring... Like how to power two fuel pumps from the dash switch.

Right now thinking of using a urethane front tank and doing propane out back.

edit: Only issue I had to deal with is the Fuel Gauge and Sending Unit Resistances (Ohms) was different. I dealt with it by stuffing in modern gauges into the old instrument cluster with lots of dremeling, soldering, and JB Welding.

I am putting fuel injection onto the 400 in my 1978 F250. I am using the 38 gallon rear tank designed for the truck, but modifying it for an in tank electric pump.

Another option is a fuel sump. You use a carb style electric pump (eg Carter, holly blue) to feed a frame rail mounted sump of ~1 qt. The high pressure electric pump is fed from the bottom of the sump. This is what I will do when I put FI on my '78.

Edelbrock and others also sell a complete sump with high pressure pump that can be mounted in the engine compartment but spendy.

I knew you guys would have good answers. Thanks a lot.

I think my easiest path is to look for a 90s F-150 tank (the small ones match dimensions almost exactly to the 19 gal F-100 tank).
