I need an 18" rim for a spare

I have a 2001 F250 that I just bought. It came with the OEM Harley 18's. They look good but I need a new spare. The stock spare is a 16" rim and has a smaller tire, not to mention the spare tire is 15 years old.

With a limited slip I would prefer to run the identical size spare tire.

I've spent a lot of time looking and all I can find for the older Super Duty is the King Ranch 18 or the Harley 18. Did they make a steel spare rim in 18"? I just need a rim for a spare an care less what it looks like.

All the aftermarket options will have different offsets and rim widths.

I know the 2012 XL came with an Argent painted steel wheel in 18" size and the spare on my truck is an 18" steel wheel, too.
You might consider checking for a TSB for your truck. I once had a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a space saver spare and Chrysler provided me with a full size spare nine years after the vehicle was built.

Why can't you just put a taller tire on your 16" rim? What size are your current tires?

So the first spare steel wheel I see came out in 06-09 which will have a different offset like you mentioned which shouldn't be a problem especially for just a temporary spare.

Depending on your current tire size I'd just run as close as you can get in size on your 16" wheel, it will be fine on the limited slip (If it even still works, mine doesn't).

I'm running 275/65-18 which is 32.1" tall

In a 16" rim, the closest is what I have 265/75-16 which is 31.6" tall

My current spare is 15 years old being the original that came with the truck. I would like to replace it and since I'm buying new tires anyway I could just buy a 18" rim and make my best current tire the spare. Either way I'm spending money and I would prefer that money bought me a matching size spare.

Won't I have issues turning if I put it on the front? Probably limits full lock. This thing turns slow enough as it is LOL.

What did Ford give the Harley trucks for a spare? Did they use a 16" rim or a matching 18" aluminum rim?
