That's really nice! I wonder what he paid for it? No resto costs, just shipping, he'll make a killing.

What does the sticker on the valve cover say, btw? "Cost Clipper"? Who says they didn't care about gas prices back then. My phone doesn't zoom on CL photos for some reason. Will he get 22k? Seems a little rich, but it's nice shape.

I suppose those should be considered the definitive F100/215 engine colors

I believe an original 1952 215cid I6 engine has its oil filler cap located closer to the firewall. Later versions of this engine had the filler cap moved forward as pictured in the all "original" 52 for sale. My 52 engine looks like this:

Yes, and lots of other little details. Notice the little peg holding the floormat down? I've never seen that before.

My door handle and window crank escutcheons are rubber like those. The restoration catalogs show those to be later. I bought the spring loaded telescoping stainless ones. What's it supposed to be?

It's a beauty. The two tone Lincoln green was the production color combo, although there are references showing pre-production engines in only the light green. Only thing I see non-original is the upper radiator hose. Here's my attempt at originality. The oil filler is shown in '52 sales literature in both locations. Stu

Wouldn't be the first one I've seen with the cover installed backwards. (I can't ever get that dang thing to quit leaking..) ;-)

From my observations, the rubber ones were 51-2 in the standard cab models. 48 50, and the "extra cab" deluxe models for 51-2 got the springy stainless ones.

Ross, My '52 has those - what does yours have? It must be a replacement mat, don't you think? The mat is not under the firewall insulator as you've pointed out before. - Bob

My floor doesn't have anything to hold the mat. No holes that I see. The (repro) mat has a place where a hole could be punched. What is the little peg, a shoulder screw, rivet?

Wow! I've owned my 1950 F-1 since 2010, and it has those two pegs dangling in the floorboard of that cab. I had no clue what they were meant for until you guys started discussing it here.
