Picked up my bumpers from the powder coater today and they turned out perfect after having them shot with Gun metal grey and got them both reassembled.

Thanks!!! I was going to do my own but you need a big oven for bumpers, the smaller parts are no problem.

No doubt I did forget the oven part. So obviously you want to paint in a booth or like this oven to set the paint and dry but can it be done without one? I don't have experience so I was just curious. Figured if you don't use oven it would just take much longer to cure.

Anyways looks great and look forward to seeing it mounted!

You have to bake the parts in an oven. The heat allows the powder to "flow" or "melt", finishing the process. If not you have parts covered in powder.

They are gun metal grey a darker look and also a matte finish so you will see the difference and that's how it came originaly so I wanted it to have some of the same and most are color matched or black 2011-2016 so I wanted it different and I wanted the black pads to stand out.

Hey man, in the middle of my own truck build ( really need to start a thread) and gonna do a front conversion. I have quite a few questions. I have read your thread already. Would it be best to try and ask them here or would a PM be better?

thanks I will do it here.

From what I see you did not use the bumper bracket kit. Was it very hard to do without that or would you suggest buying it? Are new hood hinges necessary? Hard for me to follow some of McNastyz instructions.

Also what all is needed for wipers? Just what is needed not optional

Also I heard that this kit will leave the radiator tilting back at a new angle. Is this true? And how much does it change? I don't have much clearance on mine right now with a cummins in jt

Mine has the 5.4 and I didn't have to move the radiator at all. I don't believe you have to move it as the radiator support is in the same location as mine and you are adding nose length on to the front of the truck.
