Odd Clicking sound 1975 E350W

I have an issue that just started happening.
Driving around town (40mph and below and when the van is cool, I don't have an issue with this)

At around 50mph and when the van gets warm, there is a ticking sound that starts off soft, then gets louder over the course of 5-10 minutes.

It stays like this when at stop lights too, and the speed of the clicks increases or decreases with RPMs.

It does not sound like metal or thunking sound though, It sounds more like plastic, or possibly exhaust leak?! and it just ticks fairly loudly.

I have checked the fan, belts and pulleys and its not any of those. It does not sound like its coming from the actual motor.

When I crawl under the van I can hear it much better, and its coming from the front, right half of the van.

NO clue whats going on, taking it to a mechanic next week unless I can get some possible tips or ideas here.

The van is a 1975 E350 Econoline, 351W V8.

Thanks all.

Get a 3 foot piece of hose, 3/8th fuel line is good, and use it like a stethoscope to hunt for the source of the clicking. Sounds like it is vacuum related triggered by the engine after warm up. Maybe some smog control valve or such. PCV valves click, they are usually on the rocker box somewhere? Good luck, noises are tough to find. jim
