Aerating Oil

Have a '95 that has Low Power/Poor Fuel Economy.

Took it for a drive on the highway. ICP reaches 2400-2500PSI under WOT with 30-32% DC.
So.. Weak HPOP?

Checked the dipstick after I got back and the oil is aerating. What other than the HPOP and pickup tube can cause oil aeration?

I've nearly rebuilt the entire truck and pulling the engine back out to fix the pickup doesn't get me too excited.

No. Just changed the oil and filter 50 miles ago with Motorcraft 15w-40

I replaced and resealed the IPR whenever I put the new engine in.

I guess I can check for failed injector o-rings. Cheapest way to go for right now.

I picked this truck up for $1000 with a bad engine in hopes to give it to my father. After replacing an engine, rebuilding the tranny and t-case, pads, rotors, calipers, booster, master cylinder, shocks, u-joints, brand new tires, every A/C component replaced, rebuilt front end, rebuilt fuel system, ect, ect, ect, the list goes on and on.... It's turned into a huge money pit. I'm at the point now where I won't get my money back trying to sell a truck that under performs. What's even more odd is that it's proving impossible trying to sell this truck for below blue book value with nearly every system on this truck been replaced with quality Motorcraft or better parts.

If it comes to having to pull the engine to fix this truck, I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm moving in just two weeks and need this truck fixed and gone in that time. It's getting stressful.

take a deep breathand relax, sleep on it and think about it with a clear head, losing money isnt the worst thing to happen in the world, it maybe something you will have to accept. some investments end bad, nothing you can do about that but take it with your chin up.

not worth a ulcer over.

I recall tugly lifting the rear or his truck to see if it was the pick up tube that was causing airiation in his. I don't remember how high he had to go with though.

Ford calls for 10", then WOT for 30secs while monitoring ICP pressure.
