Morning all. Its a chilly one out there, but it sure beats snow/rain/ice any day. Since the truck is now the daily drive, I'm moving over the XM module so I can have some tunes without having to constantly be fiddling with the radio or listening to commercials. So far its going OK but I'm just about to the hardest part of it.

Evening All!

I got the doors spot puttied and blocked out and the last coat of mud is down on the hood. I'll put a coat of primer on everything tomorrow morning, then go back at lunch, and get some red on the doors and underside of the hood. ....that's the plan, anyway. My back is screaming from working the long board for 7 hours non stop.

Good Morning Everybody!

I have to go check out a car in west Springfield this morning for a friend's daughter. This should be interesting.

I have a love/hate relationship with that task Alan. I love being able to help out a friend, but I hate having to tell them when the vehicle is a real piece. I won't look it over at all if they've already bought it as the outcome is rarely good.

Up late last night waiting for the daughter to get home from homecoming so I'm off to a slow start. Got the dog into the vet because she's been hobbling around lately and that's about it.

Oh boy. The car I looked at was a 2000 Cavalier. The rear axle was bent badly, but everything seems to be ok. I got them down to $400 for the car. I figured if it costs too much money to fix, I'd buy it out from her and part it out to use the engine and trans for Carina's half scale monster truck.

With the rear axle as bad as it is, picture two 6" castors under the back of the car instead of wheels. I spent most of the 30 mile trip going 30 mph sideways. I was SCARED! We made it back to the shop without issue. (aside from screwing up traffic) Now I have to see what it's gonna take to get it safe to drive.

That sounds terrifying Alan. If you can't fix it, it can't be fixed.

Not having the best of days today - woke up in kind of a funk that I haven't been able to shake.

Dave. Terrifying. .....that's just about as accurate of a word as you could come up with to describe the trip home.

I got the rest of the mud blocked out on RC's hood and got some primer down. The first coat on the hood and hopefully the last coat on the doors.

Y'all don't have to worry about me trying to take on the Monte Carlo. It left yesterday for the scrap yard.

Looks good! Since I've got the free trial going in my truck Sirius called me to ask if I was interested in signing up. They laughed at me when I said my daily driver had a broken cassette deck and that AM/FM was all I needed.
