Evening All!
If you didn't make it to the swap meet, you didn't miss much. There were maybe four Ford guys there and the rest was all Chevy. The prices were stupid high, too. I was wondering what idiots were paying for some of this stuff.
Here's a couple examples:
A guy had a complete engine gasket set for 429/460 for $70. I quick called O'Reily's to check pricing. They told me walk in price was $65, minus my discount.
There was another guy with an aluminum FE intake I saw on Summit for $320. He wanted $600 for his!
Used Holley carburetors for $300 and UP!
I could buy most of the stuff I saw brand new, cheaper. It was absolutely insane.
I did manage to replace my portable air tank that was borrowed and never returned for $20. I finally broke down and got another footprint gas pedal for Earthquake, some rylok discs and flap wheels for metal finishing and a steering shaft for the C-cab. ...so it wasn't a total loss. I think I spent $60 including lunch.

I thought the same thing on the overload of Chevy stuff. As i said before the best deal i got at the meet was a Vise and a few tools i got tired of asking my local NAPA for. Hopefully there will be one in the spring and the outside will be a bit more filled. i find that people who are only willing to pay for an outdoor booth have better prices overall.
As for weekend work, i got the D44 seated on the arms and started welding in my frame savers so the front cab supports. Also talked with a local mobile sandblaster on prices, and if i bring it to him he will do the underside of my bed (well i dont have it yet but Jeff is helping me with that!) the entire front clip, and under hood for 150 bucks. that price-my time+material-effort= good deal.

I was hoping you'd know someone like that. We'll have to do some wheeling and dealing later on once I have the 360 clear of the chassis.

Good Morning Everybody!
I was woken up by a loud crash outside my window at 0430. One of the shutters blew off the house and shattered on the driveway, right in front of Alice. I went outside and backed her up another couple feet, just to be safe. ....and Tiff always asks me why I park so far from the house.
I have the Cavalier to finish up today and I shot the rear bumper last night for the dually, so I can finish putting that back together today. The shop should be empty and ready for Rip by tomorrow afternoon.
I just made a deal on a 5 ton rear axle I have to go pick up Tuesday. One more piece of the puzzle for EQ IV.

After slacking off most of the day, I managed to get to the shop, finish putting hub assemblies and front brakes on the Cavalier, then assembled the rear bumper and got that mounted on the dually. All I need to do tomorrow is color sand and buff the whole truck and deliver it. Then I can get RC's truck inside.

Morning all! Been a few days since I've been around. Hope everyone is doing well.
Went out and started Bandit yesterday afternoon. Could get the Diesel track with the c6 this week possibility is better. I sure would like to drive Bandit more lol.
Plans for the weekend are taking place...getting Andrew his bed from my Uncle and hoping the weather is like Friday weather looks...says it is supposed to be 72 on Friday!!!
