flexomatic spring busings

I'm trying to buy new bushings for my rear springs. I'm confused on the parts that I would need. Has someone done this and have the part numbers I would need for it?

Thanks

Visit National Parts Depot's website and order the kit.

The colored other then black poly bushings may squeak even if you lube them up good. Coat the spring eyes also, but best to clean with a wire wheel with a air or hand drill get all the rust out, even if your just going to install the OEM ones makes for an easier install.

The Black poly bushing squeak little to none when install right.

If your going to be carrying a heavy load or dual a c/o camper the poly will last for the life of your truck. Where as the ome won't as long all depends how you treat your truck.

I don't really haul too much... I do pull a 3500# camper several times a year. I can't stand squeaks and rattles, should I go with the OEM bushings? The ones on there seem to have lasted 45 years

Don't have all my info with me but on our 70 with flexomatic, I went to a dealer and got the insert rubbers for helper springs for a 79 F150.
These fit where the shackle hits the spring under load.
Otherwise used stock bushings.

OT where in SW VA? I'm near Stuart

I'm about an hour north of Bristol, near KY.

Looking in the NPD catalog, it looks like to do everything, I'd need
F-5781-3 - 6 of these
F-5781-5 - 2 of these

Is this correct?

I went with the black poly bushing that were suppose to be a blended with graphite so they would not make any squeaking noises but they still made some.

I have some of those Red sway bar poly bushing used to drive me crazy squeaking.
I keep lubing every few yrs when, I hear them making noises.

I replaced all the oem bushing when I got the truck in 1978 as they were warn out from heavy use as a fleet truck 4wd used on & off road in mining.

I replaced the rear oem bushing about 20 yrs ago with HD spring from a 75 pickup & fronts about 10 yrs ago with newer springs all with poly bushing due to the weight of the c/o camper. I don't really notice that much noise from from the black poly bushing.

But those Red ones still get some noises.
Now some have grease nipples on them..

That's what I come up with. Don't know if you have ever been there or not (NPD) heck of a place. I'm surprised at the amount of stuff they have in stock. One item I needed wasn't in stock so when they got it they shipped for free.
Plus they are a sponsor.

I just researched this for my 68 , the Red bushings are the old Poly urethane Squeakers
the Black ones (G series) are graphite impregnated to not squeak (as much ) You can get them For less than NPD sells , just google the part number . amazon has my 4 2138G for $46.

****Even though still called Flexomatic different years have different part numbers per Energy Suspension catalog online .
