Trans swap f250

Trans swap f250
I'm new to the forum, just a quick question. I have an 04 f250 with the 5.4 and 4r100 auto trans. I am looking to taking the 5 speed manual trans and all hardware from a donor f150('00?) that has a 4.6. I know the bell housing will match and don't care about the engine light. I am just wondering if I will also need the transfer case off the donor since it is floor shift while mine is a switch on the dash. My transfer case works just fine so no need to change it. Also wondering if the crossmember will bolt to the trans and transfer case to trans the same as well. Especially since the trans will be coming out of an older half ton going into a newer 3/4 ton. So to wrap it up,
Will the crossmember fit?
Do I need the donor transfer case?
Do I need shorter or longer driveshafts?
Will there be any tunnel restrictions other than the hole for the shifter?
Has anyone attempted this? Lots of bull or straightforward swap?
Thanks, Jeff.

The 5-speed transmission in question is a Mazda M5OD. The F150 was the heaviest vehicle that this transmission was ever installed in, and it wasn't known for durability under heavy use. The 4.6L V8 was the largest engine ever put in front of this transmission, and your 5.4L engine makes significantly more torque.
The transmission may bolt up, but it will never last.
