I'm currently looking at a 99 250 superduty 5.4, auto, 4x4, 4.10 limit slip, utility bed with 103,000 miles. What I'm wondering is how well will the 5.4 hold up in this heavy of a truck? I run alot of hills so pulling power is a must.

go v-10 my buddy has 00 5.4 superduty crew cab- and strained on hills till he had diablo chip, magnaflow muffler and mac intake installed- helped out alot but with the added weight of his truck over my ext cab 4x4 5.4 3.55- i'd blow him away with same 7x14 dual axle trailer and gear- his is 4x4 4.10's-phil

I've been wanting a powerstroke for a long long time, just need to find it in the right price range with the kinda of miles that arn't outrageous

 

Get the power stroke. You will not be dissapointed. You will have better power, gas mileage, and much better resale value.
