No spark to plugs

No spark to plugs
I have a 95 f150 I6 300. My truck was running rough and would not go anywhere and had a terrible idle and would even cut off, i started with replacing the Idle air control, that wasnt it. We then looked at the timing to see it was off. We where going to replace the entire distributor but decided the cost was to much to "wing it" and that not be the problem. So i bought a coil pack. Still wasnt it. We rotated the Distributor to try and time it and it was getting dark so we decided to call it quits for the day. Now im getting spark out of my coil but no spark out of the dist. to spark plugs... It was just running the night before and we where trying to tune the timeing, and now not zip. Has a new cap and rotor too. New wires from coil to Dist. and from Dist. to plugs. We swapd the ignition module with the one from my dads truck and that didnt fix it so thats not it either. Im out of answers and need help bad. Im tired of throwing more and more money at it for it not to be the correct part. Also, we finally where able to get fire out of the cap to the plugs but now its not again.

just because you have spark doesn't mean it is strong enough.
Your coil takes in 12v and converts that to a much higher voltage. If that is not happening, I would look at your coil again. The coil can be tested with a volt meter.
When swapping out the TFI module, make sure you use the same colored one. There is a grey one and a black one.

Also the coil is brand new, its even the performance coil and it was all doing good when we wur trying to set the timing 2 nights ago until the next day is when no spark was coming out of Dist. cap and today while working on it it was getting spark, but not starting, and the spark wasnt consistant. Now, no spark out of dist. again

I agree with many of the replies above..
1. Your truck uses a black colored CCD-style Ignition Control Module.
2. I HIGHLY suspect anything labeled as a "performance" coil. Put the old one back in.
3. If you have spark going to the distributor, but not the plugs verify the rotor is turning.
4. If it is turning, perhaps you got a bad replacement cap and/or rotor.
