Clutch and shifter adjustments question

Hello,

[1983 4 sp, 4wd 351W]

There are 2 adjustments I'd like to make. The clutch is so stiff, I'm a small guy and I really have to stand on this thing to get it down, I'm not talking about adjusting the clutch where it engages (Clutch adjustment) I'm talking about the actual pedal in the cabin, is there a way to adjust the tension on the pedal travel?

The second adjustment desired is the travel distance of the shifter. There is some play in the gear box I asume, but shifting from 1st to second (Hardly use) or from 2nd to 3rd, the distance is a long ways, is there a way to adjust that without going inside the trans?

Thank you.

Not without going with expensive aftermarket parts.
