Anyone ever custom fab their own bumpers? I've seen some cool ones with tubing and wanted to know the basics of making them if anyone has some good input with things.

 

Although I don't have pics...I fabbed up front & rears for a family GMC 4x4....I went to the steel wholesaler, bought the tubing 9round), had a muffler shop bend some pieces for me, cut the tube in half, welding flat bar steel to the back side (making it 1/2 the diameter).....this allowed the bumper to sit very snug to the body but was strong as hell....not sure if he chromed it or powder coated........section out the center and ends for the license plate 7 fog/driving lights.

 

That's a good idea going to a muffler shop to bend out the pipe for you. I work in an industrial setting but we don't have anything to bend pipe with but could do everything else.
