Hello all,

I have a 98 explorer, auto transmission (5R55E) with a reverse problem. The reverse seems to take 5-10 seconds or more to engage, but never really has full power. I keep researching online, but I can't find anyone else with this problem. It seems for others reverse goes out completely. My problem is different. The car was my sisters who sold it to me cheap because she was tired of putting money into it. A local transmission shop did work on this transmission a few years ago, something wrong with 3rd gear. I am curious if anyone else has encountered this one way or another. ?????
