4 link coil over on 01 f350......

I have a 2001 f350 7.3 diesel with 6" lift all around. I am looking at getting a 4 link coil over for the front to soften the ride. Have a place in Bakersfield, Ca that has the suspension but need to see how owners that have changed recommend?

Also, another question have a grinding noise in the front only when pressing brakes. Checked pads plenty left and rotors are fine. Checked the bearings and they are good also. What next?

Try the adjustable shocks from rancho before you replace the springs, it may do the trick.

I did the FTS coilover conversion this summer on my 2000 f250. it is amazing!!!! I had a 4.5" donahoe/icon lift that rode like a tank, it's very plush and responsive now.
I also did the carli 2010 rear leafs with pmf front spring hangers. I did the 4.5" but am thinking about adjusting it up to fit some 37's. I also went with the kings all around for a better balanced and tuned suspension.

Oh god that is pretty. That FTS setup is awesome! But was it worth the cost? I'd love to do it, but man is it pricey....

I would have to say YES it was.
the truck just rides so much smoother now combined with the longer 2010 carli rear leafs and king rear shocks.
the 4 link also allow you to increase the caster making the steering feel more stable and responsive.
It was either buy a new truck with payments or fix up the old girl without payments.

I never liked the factory front brakes and I didn't want the unit bearings leaving me stranded in the boonies if one failed.

Darkjedi that looks really good. I am building a 30x30 shop with a two post lift 9000 lb lift to assist me in installing the 4 link system. I also re geared my truck from 3.73 to 4.10 and it is great...so if I also get this straight you replaced rear leafs to longer ones nice and did king coils in the rear also? What type of shocks are you running? I like he bill steins 5150 give me a good travel....

no rear coils, just king piggy back shocks. I wanted the rear to match the front as much as possible.
the carli/deaver 2010 rear leafs are much softer than the factory and most aftermarket rear springs available.
check these out.
