Power steering on C 600
I`m in the process of doing this now on a 56 C 600, I`m using a box from a 1 ton OBS. I have made a bracket to mount in the original holes on the C 600 frame. It mounts the box on its side so you can use the stock drag link with some mods. I also have a complete power steering assy from a L 700 series, which might wind up on the 600 before its all said and done.

What is a "OBS"
CJ GCAT..Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I DO NOT know what a 1 ton "OBS" is...would really appreciate pictures of your work and the steering box you are using if possible...

OBS,,,,
Stands for Old Body Style; 1980-1997. I believe the Econoline is the same also. The box is a front mount which when turned on its side lets the pitman arm operate like the C series box. You have to modify the pitman arm and clock the arm to the box after its mounted. I don`t have it mounted but I can send pictures of the bracket I made. Give me a few days.
