hey guys I've got a 2006 6.0 with an 03 turbo. About every other time I drive it, it sounds like the turbos unplugged at idle and doesn't spool or make any whistle until about 1800rpm. No loss in power, no more smoke than normal. No CEL but my SCT found a P0470 code which has to do with the EBP sensor. Once the engine hits about 1800rpm the turbo spools like normal. This only happens every other time I drive it (it's my daily driver). When it doesn't act like this, it's completely normal spooling like it should. But no matter if it's spooling regularly or delayed, it has no hiss at idle (it's straight piped). It's not from the 03 turbo, as it used to hiss at idle with the stock and 03 turbo, the problem just started a few weeks ago. Anyone have any ideas? Clogged EBP valve, VGT soleniod going bad? I'm stumped

 

Clean the EBP sensor and tube, use weedeater line to clean the tube.
