Question Single to dual fuel tanks?

I have a 92 R/C S/B t18 four speed, 3156 transfer case 4x4 that I plan on putting a new bed on.
The new bed has dual fuel doors and mine is just a single fuel door bed.

The guy who is selling me the bed will give me the tank and hoses etc for free, but his frame is only a 2wd frame and mine is 4wd.

Is it possible to convert my 4wd single fuel tank to dual tanks?

I've been searching and info seems limited on this subject.

Thanks.

If you can get all the parts, I think it will fit. I cannot remember for sure, but I think Ford did build some 4x4's of this body style with two tanks.
I would also try to get the wiring and in cab switch so you can make it look factory and have the gauge work for both tanks.

From what I can gather ford never made any 92-96 short bed 4wd with dual tanks.
One thread mentioned there wasn't enough room because of the transfer case.
I just need somebody to verify this.

I had my buddy pick up the new bed today along with the front tank and hoses.
So if nobody chimes in and adds to this thread, I'll let you know if it works or not.

I don't think there's enough room to run dual tanks on a RCSB 4x4 truck?

That's what I thought, but my buddy doing the work for me seemed to think it will fit, I haven't been home to look at it my self.
I have the t-18 trans so maybe with the smaller trans It has more room?
One thing that stumps me is, my buddy cant find the plug for the front pump.
When I added cruise to my truck, it was plug and play.

Anybody know if ford ran the wiring for dual tanks on all their trucks even if was a single tank set up?

Seems the 16 gal side tank will fit, I suppose because I have the T-18 four speed with the bw 1356 case so there's extra room.
Going to buy a new pump and tank straps tonight.

On the hunt for the rear fuel lines and wiring harness, so if anybody has some, please let me know.

Got the fuel lines and a different wiring harness to power both pumps.
Bought new tank straps and new front pump hooked everything up and installed a new tank switch, and bam have both pumps operating fine.

And I get to keep my spare under the rear tank, glad it worked, now I can drive further without stopping so much.

No problem.
One issue though, the front tank wont fill right, It keeps kicking the clicker on the gas pump, the vents messed up somehow.

Anybody have any ideas why?

Replaced the fill neck with a salvage unit, it fills fine now.
