Put two pigs in the freezer yesterday & cooked some sausage for lunch... mmmm it was good. Should have got hogs years ago instead of sheep. Oh well, pork chops for dinner in a bit.

Holy smokes! Where did the month go? Christmas is Friday? I thought we just had Labor day a couple of weeks ago?

At first I thought you helped out the deer hunters by putting a couple of ferrals down. While I've never tried it...I've been told if your going to eat one...the younger the better. And for sure stay away from the boars, tough and nasty was the description I was given.

There was 6-8 killed not five miles away from what Ive heard. I would like to go hunting for some since I have problems sitting still waiting on deer. Thats part of the reason I dont really do any hunting.

I know someone that has quite a few in the freeze (wild) that likes them.

We have taken many feral hogs in the river bottoms. To me the best eating size is around 70-80 lbs. whole. Just clean it, split down the middle of the backbone and throw the halves on a large grill. Smoked on the grill for 2-3 hours at low heat..... Mmmmm..... Nothing better.

Merry Christmas everyone. Sitting here enjoying a cup of Folgers before the invading chaos starts. Got to love family! Hope the weekend isn't a washout like the weather guessers are predicting. As I hunt & peck this out it sure doesn't look like it's going to rain all weekend.

One of the guys I used to work with here in FSM used to run dogs hunting them. He was the one saying that if your going to eat one, the younger the better. He was known for dropping sows & big boars and just leaving them there for the possums & coyotes. I don't agree with his methods...but understand how much of a nuisance the ferrals are becoming.

How much a 100 miles can make. It's crystal blue skies up here in the NW corner of God's country. Though the forecast goes south tonight and into the weekend though...sigh.

Christmas came early...needed to fuel up before leaving Tulsa yesterday. Oh twist my arm

It's such a relief to fill the tank and do it for less than $50. I could afford to drive an Excursion with it's 45 gallon tank right now.

I thought we were going to run into it headed back from the rock this evening for sure; especially since we didn't see a drop while at the folk's place (the weather guessers missed that one). Not a drop. Though the wind has really picked up in the last hour or so. As long as the white stuff stays out toward the panhandle of Okie-land...it'll all be good.

Make you a deal...you buy & I'll fly. Just because I'm an engineer doesn't mean I can support everyone's habits.

Well let's see...most of eastern Okie land is under several inches water. SW Missery is under an equal amount of water along with some of that frozen crap...ditto on SE Kan-Saw. I'm no Al Roker...but I'm thinking building an ark isn't outside the realm of possibilities this week. I should have gotten a photo of the jackwagon that drove his late model Challenger down a road that was covered with a couple feet of water yesterday...right past a huge sign that said "road closed".

Welcome to the party Scott. Now if you can get your cohorts there in Central Ark to join us...we can kick this shindig into high gear.
