new AE. now I got questions

My truck started running rough. So I ordered the AE. Now I'm doing a few test. First I cleared all my codes.
First is the cylinder contribution test. I have 3 codes on it. P1464, p0281, and p0541.
What does the cylinder 7 injector circuit contribution / balance fault mean??
Koeo test shows p0605, and p1277 also pointing at cylinder 7 high to low side open.
The koer switch I have a p1211
Buzz test I got a p1277
At idle my icp is between 835 and 870 psi, 11.33% duty cycle
My dtc codes are p1316, and p0541.
To much for my little brain here.
I'm guessing I have a issue with cylinder 7.

Somebody help me out on this

Now that you have recorded everything with a freshly code cleared PCM, pull the chip/F5 and run all the tests again to see what remains or if a new code is present.

Most will agree that it is better to diagnose problems when the PCM is completely stock. Chips/Programmers will sometimes mask problems/fool the PCM.

If you decide to do this, it will assist us with more accurate data

Ok. I guess I'll have to try that tomorrow when I get back to where the truck is.

You probably would automatically do this; however, I forgot to mention to clear the codes after you pull the chip and before you run the new tests. Sorry.

yea I always clear the codes when I scan something. just to eliminate anything extra. I don't like throwing money at it hoping to fix the problem

You may have a bad UVCH - click the UVCH link in my signature to verify.

Changed the cps. It's running again.
Koer test I have p0476, p0541
Cylinder contribution test I have p0275, p0281 and the p0541 again.
At idle my icp is between 565 and 590 psi, .8 to .99 volts, and 7.03% duty cycle around 1700 rpm between 1215 and 1240 psi, 1.4 volts and 15.25 duty cycle
Checked the dtc again p1316, p0541

The longer it runs the more it smooths out.

That changed as soon as I went for the test drive.
I have a interview Tuesday morning so I'll have most of the day off to open up that vc and check the harness

Looking at just the ICP/IPR, this has the scent of a bad ICP sensor - but a bad connection to an injector or two can cause the same readings.

Ignore that P0541 - most AIH systems are deleted.

The P0476 is a concern, unless you have the EBPV delete. It's possible you have an exhaust leak. If the logs show a low EBP at WOT, it's time for a soot safari under the hood.

The P0275 and P0281 are strong indicators of either a bad UVCH, or a strong coincidence that two injectors next to each other are failing. UVCH is most common here, and using the 42-pin method in my UVCH link is the easiest quick-check, then work your way toward the valve covers.

Given the rough run, the ICP/IPR, and those codes - these line up with a bad UVCH or two very weak injectors in #5 and #7.

Since #7 shows up each time with a P1316, a quick easy check would be pull the UVCH harness off the passenger side and inspect both halves. A burnt or melted pin might be easy to see. If not then you're busting out the DVM, etc.

On edit: good luck on the interview!

What is dvm? I will be tearing into this tomorrow. Hoping it's the harness or gasket.

Thanks I need all I can get on the interview
