2007 F150 Heavy Duty Build

Bought this truck used in 2009 with 30k miles on it. Has over 130k now with a lot of work. Only issues have been sparkplugs and COPs, lost transmission at 57k (covered under warranty) and the belt tensioner.

Here are the pics.

Got rearended a year ago, 100% her fault. Broke a leaf spring, bent bumper, and bent a lower shock mount. Had a shop fix the spring and shock, bought a Bodyguard rear bumper replacement and painted and installed it myself.

That's pretty much where she sits now. I just redid the brakes, put on Bilstein 5100s, and did the upper and lower balljoints. The mudflaps are gone, along with most of the bed stickers. The tool box is mounted up higher on the bed rails now, so there is about 6" of clearance underneath for hauling plywood and things.

Curb weight is 6700lbs and I get 14mpg every day. Hwy only is 16, but I can't complain with the bigger tires and 4.10 gears.

Here's a link to my main forum with the complete build thread. It's over 50 pages with a lot of chit-chat, but goes back to 2010

I enjoyed the whole thread here g ..... learned that you don't need huge lift and huge tires to get off the road.

I loved the "LightForces" ...... I mean ..... they "made the truck".
