Shift cable

Do any of you guys have a shift cable of a column shift auto, f250/4r100 that they can lay against a tape measure and post a picture or give me a length?
I want to replace the cable and Ford Australia wants $610 for a cable WOW. It looks like you can get them for about $60 + shipping on ebay.
Our VIN & part # don't seem to work in the USA.
Thanks Colin

Ya Ford Australia is a totally different entity. All the column shift cables are the same. No difference in model. All you should need is the year, motor, transmission info. Did it break? or are you having trouble shifting into drive? If the shifting issue its probably the two bolts under the dash that hold the lever mechanism. Real common they come loose. If not length won't matter anyway. Just a bigger loop under the truck if its longer. They should all be the same though. By year anyway.

Our trucks are RH drive. They do use the same steering column, just moved across. But the cable may be longer, not sure.
Where the cable mounts and adjusts on the gearbox is broken.
I just would like to change it before it sticks me up somewhere.

If the clip just broke, you can use some wire to tighten it and prevent it from moving from when ever you engage into gear, works so good that my truck has had it for over 2 years now, beats paying the $610 your talking about

Would it be cheaper to buy one stateside, have it delivered to one of us, and then for us to mail it to you? If shipping is going to be a good amount then I am sure some kind of PayPal or wire transfer might work? Not sure how quick you need it, or the shipping times over there (about 10 days?) but I for one would be more than happy to help a brother out, even if he is on the wrong side of the hemisphere!

Thanks for the offer.
Most of the ebay sellers will ship here, $60 + shipping, I'm happy to pay that. Just $610 here is a bit expensive. But I'm not sure about the length compared to your cables.
So if some one has one they can give me a length, I can see if it matches mine.
Thanks Colin
