Just a quick update, I do not have the rectangle connector. Mine is round, and somewhere in my reading I saw after a Feb 2001 build date they switched. Mine is a Jan build. Darn it. Pins are ordered from "Clips and Fasteners", now need to find the time to chase down the gray connector. Mirrors from A1 are great, mounted the drivers side, no vibration.
A better update. I just backed off and started looking, taking some time. Opened rt side panel to mount mirror, and there was an adapter already in place. Guess mirror was replaced by previous owner, so was able to wire one side up with correct gray connecter. Found the Motorcraft harness repair kit at Rock Auto. They called it "Outside mirror control switch connector", PN WPT 1141. $29.79. Long # 4U2Z-14S411-EB. Comes with prewired gray conn., (all black wires), heat shrink tubing and butt connectors. Bought new mirror switch also.
Wish I could have ordered an extra few hours to finish hooking everything up, maybe later today. I was almost ready to cut and splice everything to get it done, but glad I waited and kept looking. None of the salvage yards around Ft Collins had any '02 and later trucks, so couldn't find the harness parts, and seems most around here don't allow picking myself anyway.
