Just became the proud owner of an old 1960 ford f100 2wd. (BTW I'm new nice to meet yall). Now on to my real thing. This truck is rusty. Needs rehab. Needs paint, rust work, engine work. I have the ability to get used parts, I have the ability to paint and do body work rehab (father owns a body shop). My idea is to make it into a 4x4, with it being 2wd idk how possible this is. Next comes the lift, I want big tires, probably 33s, and about a 4 inch lift. Next comes wood bed rails, because man, they look fantastic on these old trucks. The engine is give or take. Can put a 5.0 in it, or something bigger. This truck may be a bit of a Frankenstein truck but, I digress. Just don't know where to be begin. The conversion to 4x4 is what weighs heaviest right now, and whether to put a manual transmission in it. Any help is appreciated in this new little project I have.
