Anybody familiar with a 2002 taurus 3.0 v6? It's a lady friend's car and sometimes the starter just clicks and the car will not start. When the car does start,the starter sounds fine and doesn't drag or turn over slow. Battery Terminals are clean. I looked at the car tonight,but it was dark and I didnt crawl under it. Does it have a solenoid on the starter or is it remote mounted? Sounds more like a solenoid problem to me,but if I go to a parts store website and look for the part,it doesn't exist....she doesn't have a lot of money,hate to have to put a starter on it when it isn't the problem.
