'62 Merc unibody build...

Starting on my '62... definitely needs some TLC; Engine seized (found a 360 for it), shifter broken (replacing with a 4 speed), body has a bit of cancer (easy fix), hood destroyed (Ford hood replacing it), interior shot (there's a '62 F350 with decent gauge panel and other bits including a steering column) I'm also looking at new rims (16s if I can)

Are you keeping it a Mercury still? Where in Alberta are you?

My wife wants me to fix this one up too... I've had a lot of classics (Austin Somersets, '58 Edsel, '53 International, '33 Morris, '64 Polara, '69 Chrysler NewYorker) that I sold off before I got too far into them. Yes it will remain a Mercury (The hood was crunched too badly to repair thus the F350). I live in Stettler Alberta.

I know it's been a while since I last posted about the truck so here goes. Since I last posted I've been collecting a few bits and pieces such as a 360/4 speed (With PTO) from a bump-side F350, set of 16" factory rims from a '68 Mercury M100 (I already have a set of brand new 16" tires), and seats from an 04 Chrysler Intrepid. I'm going to use the power windows from the Intrepid as well. Now I just have to get the parts all together at home and start the work.

I think the Unibody is going to someone else, he offered a '52 Ford F3 straight across and I accepted. He will be delivering the F3 next weekend and picking up the Uni at that time. The F3 has the flathead engine that turns over, a 4 speed to back it up and the body and box are in reasonable shape.
