I didn't find out what either went for- the auction had split into 2 segments and I already had a needy '40 in the shop, so I was buying tools.

Nope, wasn't me Gary. That tech in 400 would have needed a ladder to get himself up to work on that nice M-H. Stu

Look closely, please. A Marmon-Herrington tonner panel, said to be a 1947, with DRWs, and wide fenders. M-H model is OT5-4. The site I found this on called the truck the "original Grave Digger". Really? Or is it just a name he gave it. I want it. Stu

Not exactly. It's the tonner model that has the same front and rear axles, and transfer case, as my 1950 F-3. My 1950's rear axle even has the 1947 tonner axle and bolt pattern with the pictured rear spacers. I should build my own. Stu

Talk about a woody!! That is awesome!! BTW, Dennis Anderson's first grave digger was a Ford. About a 49-50 IIRC. And all he had to do was drive it on top of cars and stop, people went nuts.
