This is for GB, my dad and his brother started working in the KC Ford plant in 1929, My Father in law in 54, My Uncle on mothers side in 46 and I have a son working there today and none of them ever told me it was fun.

looks like there building a ford GTB burma jeep here, my favorite of the ford military vehicles

I finally got to see them in person. They are an awesome thing to see. The guy I bought 4 jailbar trucks from in Twisp Wa has 3 of them. One has the curvaceous bomb loader on back. He's a horse trader and a die hard Flathead guy.

G.B they are a wild looking ford built truck, thats why i like them. when people see them they say what the hell is that! there almost like a jeep on steroid's, you notice the budd lug nuts on the front wheels? some of the cargo bed models were set up to put duals on the front if need be, but i saw a bomb carrier type with the inner and outers nuts on the front wheels and they had been on there a long time so they maybe did also. you know they only built around 15.000 of them total

That was 'goin postal' in 1947. It just involved some replaceable equipment, not somebody's mom or dad.....
