So cool! Can you imagine the sound at an old 500? I remember going to local motocross track in early 70s when the 2 strokes were totally dominating and through the horrible racket you could hear some old (over 25) guy would be moving through the pack on an old BSA and I'd be so excited that he was even still there! Watched a toyota snow truck race this morning and they sounded like mosquitos.
What year and model is this? My step dad pass and I am trying to get more information about his collection. It looked like the top illustration but is a very dark green.

Condolences to you regarding your step dad. If you could post some pics of the truck/trucks in question I'm sure you'll find the answers on this site.

I assume it's an old ford truck. Does it have a registration in the glove box?Pickup, flatbed, dual wheels? Registration or title info can tell us a lot.

If you are asking about the Sinclair fuel truck, it is a 1941-1947 Ford Cabover. They are also called COE (cab over engine).
Interesting. My 40 has a bottom latch striker for the left door for a top and bottom latch and door handle, as that one does but the 42-47 don't have the inside door handle, just the finger loop pull for a top latch. Also they have broken, disconnected or removed the rear door checks.
