66 F250 4X4 on Craigslist in WA

Hi all, I hang out on the '73-'79 forums. I stumbled across this ad on Craigslist and I thought someone on here might be interested. I have no affiliation with the seller. It's in Ellensburg in central Washington state: 1966 F250 4x4 v8

BTW, my parents had a '66 F250 with a slide-in camper. I have lots of childhood memories of camping trips in that truck!

I just noticed something in one of the pictures in the ad above. I remember my parents' F250 had a wide sweeping horizontal speedometer, not the round one pictured. Was that maybe a mid-year change, or is this truck that's for sale actually a '65 instead of a '66?

All 65 and 66 F250 4X4's had the round speedometer - Standard and Custom cab. Good looking truck.

I could swear my parents' truck had a horizontal speedometer that must have been about 9" wide. Weird! We sold that truck back in the early 80's. I was 3 years old when my folks bought truck new. I'll have to ask my dad. He's in his late 80's now.
EDIT: I just did a quick internet search and found this picture. It looked just like this:

Yes, the sweep speedometer was used in 1965/66 F100/F250 2WD Custom Cab and 1966 F100 4WD Custom Cab.

It was not used in the F250 4WD trucks, however, or in any Standard Cab by default, which is what this 4WD in Ellensburg is.

You can see the only NOS C5TZ-17255-A sweep speedometer I know of over in my thread here.

Ah, okay. Thanks for straightening me out. My parents' truck was a 2WD. I never thought there would be a difference in the instrumentation between a 2WD and a 4WD.
