I have a story to tell on myself about 2004 F150 Cranks but will not start Occasionally . I have a key that was to long to put in a magnetic lock box , so I cut off the ring part of the key , little did I know I also cut off the anti theft chip / what ever you call it in the key . So when I tried to use that key the truck would not start . I was in the process of selling the truck and had both keys to give to the buyer and would just pick on of the two keys and walla sometimes I use the cut off key and Crank but no start . I had no idea about the key for 11 years since my model had no electric door locks .
