I have noticed on my 2013 F150 Eco that I have seem to always have a oil type smear. on the inside of my windshield. It is very hard to clean. Looks like the ones I would get when I smoked many years ago. My Boss has a 2011 F150 ECO and we have two others in our company. We were talking at work today and it seems all 4 trucks are having this problem. Anyone got any thoughts on this dumb question.

Hi folks,
Definitely bring this up to your dealers so they can take a look. If you don't want to make a special trip, you can mention it the next time you're in for a maintenance appointment. What's the current mileage on your trucks?
It is outgassing of the dash pad. Common across all cars.
Nail on the head! This is exactly what it is and it will continue for some time, until the materials in the dash pad have completely cured. And, it is very common across a host of vehicles. All you can do is continue to clean it off.

My truck has 21000 on it. The company trucks are 2011 models and have 107000 up to 125000
I believe the heat in a closed cab during the summer will even make it worse. Try using a sunshield and leave the windows cracked to provide some ventilation. Considering how hot the interiors get in the summer, its no surprise that the outgassing of the petroleum based products(plastic) is accelerated. I would be curious to know if the problem is less during the winter months and in the cooler climates.
Agree with the outgassing. Use a "good" glass cleaner like Stoner's "Invisible Glass". It won't stop the outgassing, but will get it off. As a bonus, it's also safe for window tint.
Learn from my mistake, NEVER use RainX window cleaner on the inside of the window. I screwed up an explorer many years ago. It fogs out the inside of the window and is impossible to remove. Looks good after you clean it, but a month later is would fog up like I was BBQ'ing in the cab

Thanks for the tip, tried to rep you,but says I must spread the rep points around!
Very annoying and common problem to pretty much all makes and models. It's "outgassing" from synthetics, plastics, carpet, whatever. Looks real bad when the sun hits just right.
