What model is best for roll off trucks
I am in the market to find a cab and chassis for a roll off truck. I am very interested in the F-550, but I have never owned a truck for this application. Can anyone offer advice as to which model will hold up to its 19,500 gvw used in a daily basis for a 100-200 miles? I am trying to find something that can. To only hold the weight, but also low on maintenance.
I have looked at deisel and gas models, but I can't decode which of the options work best for what I am looking for. And I don't just want to leave it to the sales person the tell me what u need.
Any help would be much appreciated.

What will you primarily be towing? I drove light, medium and heavy duty wreckers for a few years. I would go diesel w/ jake brake, air brakes, pto driven hydraulic winch, and a steel roll off bed. I would also add a wheel lift stinger to the back, so you can tow doubles, one on the bed, and one on the stinger. And add plenty of tool boxes under the bed.
The air brakes are mandatory (imo), I've seen some guys set up their trucks with electric winches because they're "cheaper", but they don't hold up to regular heavy use. And steel beds hold up much better to severe use than aluminum beds, even though they are heavier. With a good steel bed, you can pull up total wrecks that won't roll/don't have tires, just by dragging them up the bed. That tears up aluminum beds pretty bad.
Are you new to towing, or have you been driving for another company to get the experience first?
