Brake light switch and window weatherstripping problem

Well, I can usually figure out problems on my 1948 F5 given enough time but here are two probably simple problems that I could use some help on.

Brake lights were working great but stopped. I have new everything on it. I have eliminated the wiring, lights as a possible problem. I swapped out the 1 year old switch. Still no lights. Is it possible the switch is not getting any fluid pressure? Brakes work well.

I bought the window weather stripping that goes on both sides of the glass in the door at the bottom of the window but cannot get those round clips in the holes. I just seem to bend them out of shape. There has to a trick to this one too.

Thanks in advance.

Assuming your clips have the three tabs like mine did, here is my method for installing them.

Turn the clip sideways and press into the hole with a large flathead screwdriver. Use a small punch to bend back the 'top' tab. Carefully turn the clip to its proper orientation, and the punch the remaining two tabs back. The clip should then hold as long as you arent rough with it, or look at it the wrong way.

If you connect the two wires together that go to the switch does the lights work?

Updates

I jumped the two wires and the lights worked perfectly. So the brake light switch is not working either because it is faulty or not getting pressure.

The tip on the weatherstripping worked well thank you.
