Looking at a 98 4x4 V6

Here's mine, bought it new in '98. Almost 100K now. Never left me stranded. Never in the shop except once for a recall on the speed control, regular maintenance by myself, still original A/C (probably jinxed myself). Hasn't been in the salt, paint pretty good for a Florida truck. I've replaced several of the switches for power windows, and locks, and both window motors. Just did the clutch slave, took me 20 hours but I could do it in a day now if I had a lift and all the parts. It's only thrown a code once, had a bad spark plug at 70,000 so replaced them all (they had been replaced previously as well). Pretty easy to work on except for the clutch slave. Still original exhaust. 4WD works well but thinking about the Posi-Lok cable for the front axle.
Really like the truck. When I went in to the dealer I was shopping for a Ranger, but they had a big rebate on the 4.2L with MT. I have an '02 F250 for my big trailers, so trailer tow capacity on the half ton isn't a big deal. And I ride a motorcycle most days thus the low mileage. Good luck if you pick one up!
