I once turned down a job because it meant there was a union involved! I firmly believe the labor unions have long outlived their usefulness in America. They have become too big and too powerful; and are only making things worse now for the American working class. I could go on but yinz probably don't me getting political on ya'!
Agreement at Ford Kansas City F-150 plant averts strike

Here's the article if you'd like to read about it.

Thanks for the link. Why is it that the unions can violate the National Labor Relations Act anytime they want and its okay, because they point the finger at the employer? If the employer even looks at a worker or union rep. the wrong way and everyone gets bent outta shape about it! Ford has to protect their own interests first. They are not in business just to kiss the union's collective a**!

Wow, I could have sworn this thread was about buying a new truck. That's fun to talk about! Union bashing? Not so much fun.
Unions have lost their usefulness huh? I'm sure you enjoyed your labor day weekend right? Brought to you by union labor. How about overtime? 40 hr week? Not all unions are bad.

Btw. I think if you can afford a brand spankin new shiny truck get it!

I work just about all holidays and at least 50 hours a week straight commission. Outside of union shops and government places most Americans I know laugh at notions of 40 hour weeks and holidays. Few of my commercial customers would be successful if they had to operate under union operation. And most of us like it this way.

I prefer to spend weekends and holidays with my family. Call me crazy. Enjoy your day.
I'd still vote for the 2016 f150.
Just my 2 cents

Couldn't have said it better myself, Frantz!
Overtime? What's that? 40-hour work week? I don't know what you mean. I work straight through my lunch break about 3 days out of 5 each week; yet I don't get paid for it. Welcome to 21st century corporate America! And you know what? I wouldn't have it any other way!
By the way, I wonder if you ever thought about how much you could actually be making if you didn't have to pay those union dues. How about you think about that the next time your union tells you to go on strike and you're not getting paid?
I'd vote for the 2016 F-150 also, if I wasn't so da** cheap!
