Help with a 1990 F150 4.9L straight 6

I am looking for any advice, tips, ideas and whatever else anyone can suggest.

It's been one issue after another with this truck. To save money I decided to do some cleaning. I took everything off all the way down to the fuel injectors. Even valve cover. Cleaned everything. I was going to replace all 6 injectors since it was only going to cost me 65 bucks. Well at least that is what I thought. Turned out to be 65 bucks a piece. Since I did not have the funds to replace them I purchases o-rings for all injectors. I cleaned them with carb cleaner. Reinstalled everything. I know I have a bad battery. This is next on my list. However I tried to jump the truck with my van. And it will not start up. I believe there is fuel getting to the rail, I am just not sure if it's getting into the cylinders. I do jot know what to do.

I am mechanical inclined I just lack the experience. And knowledge on what to look for.

Thanks

Today I tried again to start the truck. No luck. There just seems to be no spark.

Go to this link Ford OBDI to see if your truck is throwing any codes. If your not getting any spark, start checking your coil, distributor, etc.

Unscrew one of the spark plugs but leave it in the boot. Have someone spin the engine while grounding out the plug. See if the spark jumps the gap. Unplug the rest of the spark plugs so it doesnt try to start on u

Spark seems ok

Thanks for the heads up. So I tested for a spark on two different plugs. I am getting a spark.

Something I should have mentioned and did not think of it till now is I also changed out the idle air controller and the throttle position sensor.

Changing the IAC or TPS shouldn't cause any starting issues.

What's the fuel pressure like? 300's need pretty high fuel pressure. I think it's something like 55PSI.

I don't know how to do this, plus I don't have the equipment for it.

End result, I will most likely have it towed to a shop and have to pay someone else to look at it.

It freaking worked. I sprayed the starter fluid and it started right up. I shut it off after running for a little while and his hesitated in the beginning of turning it over but then caught. I am sure I have a bad battery.

Thanks again for everyone's help.

Replaced that about 2 years ago along with putting in a new fuel tank. I should have replaced the pump then too but didn't.

I am going to replace the solinoid and battery next. I know solinoid is going bad.

Did you ever figure anything out? Let me guess it won't start without starting fluid. But still won't start on its own..

I took my battery to work to charge it. After taking it off the charger I put a multimeter on it and you could see the charge dropping. So the battery is bad. Once I get funds to replace the battery and I will replace the starter solinoid as well I will repost the results.
