Damn this seems to be the flavor of the week.... Fill it have someone move wheel while your looking at top of box if not it could be a line. My red head was leaking where the red hits the black.

Is it leaving a red spot where you park? My truck looked like that and it was the fuel pressure regulator cover (leaking fuel). Follow the wetness up to the highest point.

i think you might be on to something. Will have to look tomorrow. It looks like it ends at the top of that arm or whatever it's called.
Well looks like rain for the next week here hopefully i can catch a break
Well finally had enough to drip on the ground to get a good smell and it is power steering fluid definitely. Can anyone tell me what that is and if it is hard to replace?

Well you have to figure out where the leak is originating to know what and difficulty. Pump or gearbox im assuming, no leak from the resevoir? No funny steering noises? If it all works well i wouldnt replace, just new gaskets if its leaking from an edge etc. Have to really find out where its coming from first though

I followed it up to the Highest point and the highest point I see is were the arm meets the box and then it goes dry. It has been a few drops here and there but today it was a bit more. If there is a seal right there I am pretty sure it has gone bad. Need help wife says learn to fix it or sell it.
That arm would be the pitman arm and if the leak is coming down the pitman shaft and no where above, it's time for a new steering box.
well dang i thought so. there is no way to replace the seals or something these things are kind of expensive. and how hard is it to change for the average person i am no mechanic actually im an I.T in the navy.
As a rule, my rule, on an 05 the box has enough wear that I wouldn't screw with it. Also the steering box if not repaired correctly can have dire consequences. Peace of mind would be worth getting a new or rebuild to me. Shop around and get one with a lifetime warranty.
