Probably a lot of trouble to fix this dent...

So, a branch fell off a tree recently and left a dent the size of a small dinner plate on the roof of Bubba .

It's right on the edge, just about an 1/8th inch from the drip sill. It won't simply pop out and be gone; I guess it will take a lot of work to make it disappear, eh? On the good side, had it fallen an inch further away, it would have probably shattered the big side window, so I guess it could have been worse.

Try a paintless dent remover. Estimates are free.

I need to get a picture of it. It's huge, relatively speaking. How large a dent can PDR fix?

Size isn't as important as creases are.

Roof might be tough for PDR. If you had a big door skin pushed in, it could be popped out and pdr could be used to take care of some of the ripples around the edges of a big dent.

I think the roof sheet metal on an E van, especially near the gutters where it is curved, is really thick and stiff (mine has sat thru scores of hail storms and never showed any dings) so pushing the main dent out becomes the big job.

If that comes out without shedding paint, I dunno if I would invest a lot of money getting any small remaining creases out on the roof. If it was a brand new vehicle, I might get some estimates.

On the other hand, we have used PDR on all 4 of our vehicles to get rid of some annoying parking lot dings and other minor damage so I am definitely a believer.

Good luck,
George
